Entering this project, there was a working, high-fidelity prototype of enseoCONNECT. However, the prototype had not been presented to any users outside of the company. I took this opportunity to create a test plan and conduct user-testing of the prototype. The takeaways from this jumpstarted the edits and design changes I would ultimately enact for this product.
enseoCONNECT has since become one of Enseo's top products, live in 20,000+ hotel rooms totaling over a quarter of a million uses per year.

enseoCONNECT is a mobile remote for hotel guests to control in-room entertainment directly from their phone. The main functions comprise of controlling live tv & streaming apps, thermostat, lighting, Bluetooth audio and native keyboard capabilities.

Re-creating the issues that users struggled with. This provided engineering with a specified path to the bugs and proved these instances weren't one-offs.

User Testing
To receive the most useful feedback from user testing, our participants were composed of hospitality executives and seasoned hotel stayers. I was responsible for creating a test plan as well as executing it. Users were tasked with navigating to certain features of the webapp and locating various controls. This included the most critical toggles and functions within the thermostat, lighting and TV screens. Through this testing, I was able to observe firsthand how well users could navigate and use the core aspects of the webapp.
